‘Blue note bandit’ sentenced

In a follow-up to my February post, the ‘blue note bandit’, the most prolific bank

David Camp behind the hat and sunglasses

robber in Orange County history, was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison and ordered to pay $26,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to 13 felony counts of second-degree robbery. This is a much lighter sentence than the maximum 18 years the 52-year-old married father of two faced.

Also from that same post, the 58-year-old Delaware pediatrician who raped over 100 girls in his office in one of the most heinous cases of patient sexual abuse against a doctor in American history was sentenced on Friday to 14 life sentences for 14 counts of first-degree rape and more than 160 years in prison for multiple counts of assault and sexual exploitation of a child. In other words, he’s done.

To both: I hope it was worth it.
